The Princess and the Porn Law

It’s another sad tale of a fallen beauty queen. Carrie Prejean, the dethroned Miss California and Miss USA runner-up who has taken it upon herself to speak for the family values movement recently dropped her lawsuit against the Miss USA Organization. It didn’t take long to find out why. A video emerged of the princess engaging in a solo sex act. Prejean, who recorded the “event” herself, said that she was a teenager at the time and that it was the worst mistake of her life. In fact, Prejean was into her 20’s when the recordings were made. It appears that she claimed to be seventeen at the time (and asked others to lie in order to corroborate) in an attempt to dissuade buyers from purchasing and distributing the scandalous footage. As more videos continue to surface, some have suggested that the princess could be in violation of federal criminal law, which makes pretending to be under age on “adult videos” a crime. Surely we can find someone else to lead us in public debate.
